Why did you join 

Miss Philippines International of BC?

I joined Miss Philippines International of BC as I genuinely missed the experience of being in pageants.  Before I started competing in pageants, I really struggled with self-esteem.  Pageants helped shape me into the young woman I am today.  

I am stronger, happier and have a lot more value for myself than I did before because pageants gave me an opportunity to explore who I wanted to truly be.  I was first exposed to Miss Philippines International of BC in the magazine, Absolutely Filipino.  

It really piqued my interest as being in pageants have helped make new connections with people while creating unforgettable memories; with opportunities to speak and has exposed me to more Filipino-Canadian culture.
